The ultimate objective of this research is to provide a simulation tool for industrial entrained flow integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) gasifier with quantified uncertainty. The project’s target is to develop a prototype simulation tool, perform preliminary uncertainty quantification on a pilot-scale gasifier, and to be begin to predict coal conversion, soot formation, synthesis gas composition and char-slag transformations.
